The University of Embu is looking for a qualified Lecturer in the Art and Design department. This role is intended for an academic professional who holds a PhD and is dedicated to both teaching and ongoing research within the field.
Responsibilities
Providing academic instruction and lectures in Art and Design at the university level.
Engaging in continuous research and contributing to the academic community through scholarly work.
Participating in and contributing to learned conferences, seminars, and workshops.
Providing evidence of research output and academic growth.
Mentoring students and participating in departmental academic activities.
Requirements and Qualifications
Education: Must hold an earned PhD degree from a recognized university in Art and Design or a related relevant area of specialty.
Additional Degrees: Must have a Master’s degree in addition to a first (Bachelor's) degree from a recognized university in the relevant field.
Conference Participation: Evidence of attendance and contribution at learned conferences, seminars, or workshops is required.
Research: Must show evidence of continued research activities.
Experience (Preferred): University teaching experience and publications in refereed journals will be considered a significant added advantage.
