Job Description
As a Laboratory Technologist at Equity Afia, you will be responsible for performing complex diagnostic tests and analyses on clinical specimens to assist in the detection, diagnosis, and treatment of diseases. You will ensure all procedures adhere to established protocols and maintain high quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Perform complex diagnostic tests and analyses on clinical specimens.
Provide accurate laboratory results to assist in medical detection and diagnosis.
Adhere strictly to laboratory protocols and safety quality standards.
Implement and maintain Laboratory Quality Management Systems (QMS) initiatives.
Utilize Health Management Information Systems (HMIS) for efficient data management and reporting.
Requirements and Qualifications
Must have a Degree in Laboratory Sciences or a Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology.
At least one year of internship or professional working experience in a laboratory setting.
Currently registered and holding a valid license from the Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians and Technologists Board (KMLTTB).
Formally trained with a demonstrated understanding of Laboratory Quality Management Systems (QMS) initiatives.
Proficient in computer skills, particularly Health Management Information Systems (HMIS).
