Role Overview
The Laboratory Technologist at Africa Management Solutions Limited (AMSOL) is responsible for performing laboratory investigations and diagnostic tests to support clinical diagnosis and treatment. This role ensures the accuracy of data used for patient care and maintains the highest standards of laboratory safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities
Laboratory Testing: Conduct a wide range of laboratory tests and analyze results with precision.
Specimen Handling: Ensure accurate collection, labeling, handling, and processing of biological specimens.
Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment to ensure optimal performance and accuracy.
Quality Standards: Adhere to strict laboratory quality standards and biosafety regulations.
Documentation: Accurately document and report all laboratory findings to the medical team for further action.
Requirements and Qualifications
Education: A Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology from a recognized institution.
Licensing: A valid practicing license from the Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians and Technologists Board (KMLTTB).
Experience: A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in a laboratory setting.
