Liaison Group is seeking a Laboratory Assistant for its GMP Cell Therapy Facility. This role is essential for supporting technical and operational activities within a specialized cleanroom environment, focusing on molecular biology, cell culture, and maintaining strict compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards.
Key Responsibilities
GMP & Cleanroom Operations
Assist in daily cleanroom activities within ISO-classified areas.
Perform aseptic handling under Class II biosafety cabinets.
Maintain strict adherence to gowning and contamination control procedures.
Support environmental monitoring and documentation of cleaning activities.
Maintain accurate logbooks and batch manufacturing records.
Molecular Biology & Immunology Support
Conduct DNA/RNA extraction and cDNA synthesis.
Perform conventional PCR, RT-PCR, and qPCR (Real-Time PCR).
Prepare samples for flow cytometry and assist in data acquisition.
Execute ELISA and various immunoassays.
Handle cell cultures, with a preference for primary cell lines.
Instrument Handling
Operate specialized equipment including PCR machines, Real-Time PCR systems, flow cytometers, CO2 incubators, and centrifuges.
Use micropipettes and analytical balances with precision.
Conduct routine calibration checks and coordinate equipment maintenance.
Document all equipment usage meticulously.
Documentation & Compliance
Maintain Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) records.
Support Installation Qualification (IQ), Operational Qualification (OQ), and Performance Qualification (PQ) activities.
Ensure data integrity and full traceability of all laboratory activities.
Manage inventory for laboratory consumables and reagents.
Requirements
Experience & Qualifications
A degree (BA/BSc/HND) in a relevant Science-related field.
2–5 years of hands-on laboratory experience.
Prior experience with PCR/RT-PCR, Flow Cytometry, and Cell Culture.
Working knowledge of GMP or GLP environments is strongly preferred.
Experience handling human samples is considered a significant advantage.
