Windle International Kenya is seeking a Kiswahili/CRE Teacher to provide high-quality education and training to students in challenging environments. Windle International is a leading provider of education for refugees and communities affected by conflict in East Africa and the Horn of Africa.
Role Overview
The role involves curriculum delivery, student mentorship, and administrative support to ensure a conducive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
Instruction and Lesson Delivery: Plan and teach lessons in line with the curriculum, using appropriate teaching methods to support student understanding and engagement.
Assessment and Evaluation: Prepare tests, assignments, and exams; mark and provide feedback; monitor and record students' academic progress.
Classroom Management: Maintain discipline, create a safe and inclusive learning environment, and manage student behavior effectively.
Student Support and Guidance: Mentor and guide students on academic and personal development, identify learning difficulties, and refer cases where necessary.
Professional and Administrative Duties: Attend staff meetings, prepare schemes of work and lesson plans, keep records, communicate with parents/guardians, and participate in school activities.
Qualifications and Requirements
A degree in Education.
Two years post-graduation experience in teaching.
Registered with the Teachers Service Commission (TSC).
Mastery of office software (MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
Able and willing to live, work, and travel in a fast-paced and insecure environment, adhering to strict security guidelines.
