The Junior Account Manager will be responsible for managing existing accounts and onboarding new clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the payments ecosystem and be able to maintain client relationships while driving account growth and retention.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and grow relationships with existing merchants and enterprise clients.
Serve as the primary point of contact for client inquiries and escalations.
Onboard new clients and coordinate integration with technical teams.
Monitor account performance, transaction volumes, and revenue growth.
Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities.
Ensure high levels of client satisfaction and retention.
Work closely with operations, compliance, and tech teams to resolve issues.
Requirements and Qualifications
Minimum 3 years’ experience in the payments industry (PSP, fintech, banking, or related sector).
Bachelor's degree (BA/BSc/HND) in a relevant field.
Strong understanding of payment methods including cards, mobile money, and bank transfers.
Familiarity with API-based payment integrations.
Experience managing merchant or enterprise accounts.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to interpret transaction data and performance metrics.
Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
