Reeds Africa Consult (RAC) is recruiting a Junior Secondary School (JSS) Teacher on behalf of one of its clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, preparing, and delivering effective lessons in Kiswahili, Social Studies, and CRE in line with the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC) for Junior Secondary School learners, while fostering a positive and engaging learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and deliver high-quality lessons in Kiswahili, Social Studies, and CRE.
Develop lesson plans, schemes of work, and teaching materials in line with CBC requirements.
Assess, evaluate, and monitor learners’ academic progress.
Maintain accurate student records and reports.
Create a conducive learning environment that promotes discipline and active participation.
Participate in co-curricular and school development activities.
Collaborate with other staff to support overall student development.
Requirements and Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Education with specialization in Kiswahili, Social Studies, and/or CRE.
Must be registered with the Teachers Service Commission (TSC).
Proven experience teaching at the Junior Secondary level is an added advantage.
Strong knowledge of the CBC curriculum.
Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
