Job Description
Konza Technopolis is seeking an IOT Engineer to support the development and maintenance of Internet of Things (IoT) infrastructure and Smart City projects. As a flagship project of Kenya Vision 2030, Konza aims to be a world-class technology hub. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of senior staff to oversee the technical lifecycle of smart city systems, ensuring that sensors, meters, and network systems are correctly installed, validated, and integrated.
Duties and Responsibilities
Support Internet of Things (IoT) and Smart City Projects and Systems.
Participate in the validation process and document lifecycle, including network, meters, and sensors installation/operational procedures.
Support and provide feedback to the solutions design specification creation and implementation across multiple projects of varying scope.
Support resourcing estimates and technical configurations for client quotations to the Unit Development Team.
Coordinate work with stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and contractors, under the supervision of the Senior Officer IOT Engineer.
Work with clients to understand, agree on, and implement technical requirements in conjunction with the Team.
Assist in managing team tasks within implementation and development projects.
Help develop and improve internal integration processes and management systems by reporting corrective actions, updates, and improvement ideas.
Person Specification and Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business IT, Computer Engineering, or any other relevant and equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution.
Proficiency in computer applications.
