The African Development Bank (AfDB) is inviting applications for its Internship Program - Risk Management track for the 2026 session. Key Duties and Responsibilities
Interns will be assigned to the Risk Management unit where they will support various institutional activities. Specific duties vary but generally involve:
Assisting in identifying, measuring, and monitoring financial and operational risks.
Contributing to the development of risk reports and analytical models.
Participating in projects related to the mission of the Bank.
Supporting the implementation of risk mitigation strategies.
Requirements and Qualifications
Age: Must be at least 18 and no more than 30 years old at the start of the internship.
Education: Currently enrolled in a Master's level degree program or have graduated within the last one year from a recognized higher learning institution.
Nationality: Must be a national of a member country of the African Development Bank.
Languages: Proficiency in English and/or French.
Technical Skills: Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access). Knowledge of SAP is an added advantage.
Documentation: Must provide a letter from the school confirming enrollment or a copy of the degree.
Terms and Conditions
Duration: 3 to 6 months (one-time opportunity).
Stipend: A monthly stipend is provided.
Insurance: Medical insurance coverage is paid by the Bank.
Mode of Work: Can be remote or on-site. Remote interns need their own PC and internet. On-site interns are responsible for travel and upkeep expenses.
Visas: The Bank assists in obtaining entry and residence visas where necessary.
