The African Development Bank (AfDB) is inviting applications for its 2026 Internship Program (Session 2). This specific internship is focused on Operations Management & Programming. The AfDB aims to be at the center of Africa’s transformation, promoting inclusive and green growth across the continent.
Role Purpose
The internship program provides students with the opportunity to acquire professional and practical experience within an international development finance institution. Interns will support various operations and programming tasks while gaining exposure to the Bank's mission and workflows.

Support the Bank's operational efficiency through fresh academic perspectives.
Terms and Conditions
Duration: Minimum of three (3) months and maximum of six (6) months. The internship is authorized only once for any candidate.
Mode of Work: Can be remote or on-site depending on the hiring unit's requirements. Remote interns must provide their own equipment and stable internet.
Start Date: Session 2 commences in July 2026.
Stipend: Eligible interns will receive a monthly stipend.
Insurance: The Bank provides medical insurance coverage during the internship period.
Travel: On-site interns are responsible for their own air travel and living expenses.
Eligibility Criteria
Age: Must be at least the age of majority in the country of origin and no more than 30 years old at the start of the internship.
Education: Currently enrolled in a Master’s level degree program at a recognized institution. Candidates who graduated within the last year are also eligible.
Nationality: Must be a national of an AfDB member country.
Languages: Fluent in English or French (proficiency in both is an advantage).
Technical Skills: Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access). Knowledge of SAP is desirable.
