The County Government of Kitui is recruiting seven (7) Housekeepers to ensure the cleanliness and hygiene of county facilities. This role is essential for maintaining a safe and sanitary environment in hospital wards, offices, and public areas. The successful candidates will be responsible for general cleaning duties, linen management, and adhering to waste disposal protocols.
Responsibilities and Duties
Cleaning Operations: Thoroughly cleaning wards, offices, and all public areas within the facility.
Linen Care: Cleaning and maintaining hospital linen to ensure they meet hygiene standards.
Waste Management: Ensuring proper waste segregation and disposal according to health guidelines.
Surface Sanitization: Cleaning and disinfecting various surfaces to prevent the spread of infections.
Maintenance Reporting: Identifying and reporting any maintenance issues or necessary repairs to the relevant authorities.
Requirements and Qualifications
Must be a Citizen of Kenya.
Possession of a KCPE or KCSE certificate.
Basic literacy and effective communication skills.
A Certificate in housekeeping or cleaning services will be an added advantage.
