Job Description
The United Nations Environment Programme (UN Environment) is the leading global environmental authority that sets the world's environmental agenda. This internship program offers an opportunity to support the organization's information technology, data systems, and communication channels while gaining hands-on experience within the UN system.
Duties and Responsibilities
Support preparation in website updates
Adding and editing accredited organizations to the website
Uploading documents to repository
Editing contents of civil society webpages
Support Registration processes of the various meetings including working on the list of participants
Develop and conduct a Series of Client Satisfaction Survey – including analyses to feedback to the clientele – especially the Committee of Permanent Representatives.
Draft Accreditation Memos for organizations that have submitted accreditation requests for review
Support effective communications with accredited UNEP Major Groups and Stakeholders in line with UN mandates and guidelines.
Support the day-to-day management of internal Major Groups and Stakeholders databases
Other tasks, as requested
Qualifications/Special Skills
Undergraduate studies in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Software Engineering, Data Science, or Cyber Security
Be enrolled in a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher), OR be enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree program (minimum bachelor's level or equivalent), OR have graduated with a university degree
Applicants to the UN Internship Programme are not required to have professional work experience, but a related field of study is required
Good knowledge of standard software applications, especially MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and MS Teams
Ability to draft news articles and/or social media posts is desirable
