Job Description
Information about the role
The County Assembly of Bungoma is seeking three (3) interns to join the Information & Communication Technology (ICT) department. This internship is designed to provide practical experience to recent graduates and support the legislative arm of the County Government in maintaining its digital infrastructure.
Responsibilities and Duties
Support the ICT department in the administration, maintenance, and support of information systems.
Assist in managing network infrastructure, hardware, and software.
Ensure the seamless availability and security of the Assembly's digital environment.
Provide technical support to staff and assembly members.
Help in monitoring system performance and implementing security measures.
Assist in the deployment of new ICT equipment and software updates.
Skills, Experience, and Qualifications
Must be a Kenyan citizen aged between 18 and 35 years.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or an equivalent qualification from a recognized university (A minimum of a Diploma is also acceptable as per the application criteria).
Must have completed studies within the last two (2) years.
Proficiency in network administration, systems support, or software development is an added advantage.
Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and data protection frameworks is an added advantage.
Familiarity with open-source technologies or GoK ICT standards is an added advantage.
A mandatory Recommendation / Introduction Letter from the institution of learning is required.
