The Institutional Accreditation Officer (Job Grade Cue 6) at the Commission for University Education is responsible for supporting the regulatory and quality assurance functions of the Commission. The role entails coordinating inspections, managing accreditation data, and evaluating institutional reports to ensure the growth and expansion of university education in Kenya meets established standards.
Duties and Responsibilities
Providing administrative and logistical arrangements for routine inspection and technical Inspection Committee meetings.
Organizing documentation for Accreditation Committee Meetings.
In-putting data on proposals received, institutions being evaluated, and accredited institutions.
In-putting data on prequalified peer reviewers into the official departmental database.
Writing minutes during departmental and lower-level Commission Committee Meetings.
Evaluating proposals on proposed universities and preparing evaluation reports.
Evaluating institutional reports.
Maintaining status reports on the evaluation of academic programmes.
Person Specification
For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:
A Bachelor's Degree in Education, Business Administration, Law, Social Sciences, or any other relevant qualification from a recognized institution.
Membership to relevant professional bodies and in good standing.
Proficiency in computer applications.
Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya.

Clearance Certificate from the Higher Education Loans Board (HELB).
Clearance Certificate from an approved Credit Reference Bureau (CRB).
