Role Overview
The Inside Sales Representative will be responsible for generating new business opportunities, managing customer relationships, supporting the sales process, and converting leads into long-term clients. The role serves as a key link between customers, internal stakeholders, and commercial teams to ensure excellent service delivery and revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development
- Generate new sales opportunities through outbound prospecting, cold calling, email campaigns, CRM data, and follow-up on inbound enquiries.
- Identify and qualify prospective customers while building a healthy sales pipeline.
Customer Engagement
- Engage prospective and existing customers to understand their business needs and recommend suitable supply chain and logistics solutions.
- Respond promptly to customer enquiries and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
Sales Support
- Prepare and deliver tailored commercial proposals highlighting service offerings and customer benefits.
- Support the sales process by coordinating quotations, pricing approvals, contract documentation, and customer onboarding.
- Ensure all customer due diligence (KYC) requirements are completed before onboarding.
Account Management
- Maintain strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and timely service delivery.
- Identify opportunities for cross-selling and upselling additional services.
- Escalate commercial proposals for internal approval where required.
CRM & Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales activities, opportunities, and follow-up actions within the CRM system.
- Prepare periodic sales activity and pipeline reports.
Collaboration
- Work closely with Business Development, Marketing, Operations, Customer Service, and Finance teams to deliver customer solutions and achieve commercial targets.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 - 5 years' experience in inside sales, business development, account management, or a similar commercial role within the logistics and supply chain industry.
- Demonstrated experience in freight forwarding and contract logistics operations.
- Strong understanding of logistics services, customer relationship management, and commercial sales processes.
- Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
- Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
