ADEC Kenya Services EPZ Limited is seeking a qualified Information Security Officer to join its team in Kitengela. This role is central to safeguarding the organization's technological infrastructure and data integrity within a dynamic Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for investigating security incidents, conducting assessments, and ensuring rigorous compliance with international information security standards. This position operates on a hybrid work setup with a shifting schedule.
Key Responsibilities
Incident Investigation: Investigate and resolve security incidents and identified vulnerabilities promptly.
Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing across systems.
Monitoring: Monitor security systems and analyze network traffic to detect and mitigate potential threats.
Access Control: Manage user access controls and ensure strict compliance with security protocols.
Auditing: Perform comprehensive security audits and prepare detailed reports for management review.
Collaboration: Partner with internal teams to secure various systems and applications.
Requirements and Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years’ professional experience in Information Security or Cybersecurity (BPO experience is considered a significant advantage).
Technical Skills: Proven expertise in vulnerability assessment, penetration testing, and security audits.
System Knowledge: Familiarity with managing security systems such as SIEM, IDS, EDR, and Antivirus tools.
Standards: Working knowledge of ISO 27001 and other Information Security standards is preferred.
Certifications: Professional certifications such as Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) are a plus.
Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, analytical thinking, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Flexibility: Ability to adapt to a hybrid work setup and handle shifting work schedules.
