Associate Cloud Technical Architect

Responsibilities

• Collaborating with stakeholders to translate business requirements into cloud solutions.
• Acting as a trusted technical advisor to ensure solutions meet client objectives.
• Designing and architecting cloud-based systems for scalability and reliability.
• Providing pre-sales technical support and analyzing client requirements.
• Assessing existing systems and developing migration strategies from on-premises to cloud.
• Designing integration solutions for seamless data flow between cloud and on-premises environments.
• Implementing security best practices and compliance standards for cloud systems.
• Supporting cloud governance frameworks, policies, and procedures.
• Assisting development teams with architecture standards and best practices.
• Producing technical design documents and network diagrams.
• Participating in scope of work determination, product pricing, and RFP/RFI responses.
• Managing client proof of concept (POC) initiatives from setup to delivery.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect, or Google Professional Cloud Architect).
• Vendor product, sales, and technology certifications.
• Basic experience as a Cloud Technical Architect or in a similar professional technical role.
• Experience in designing, implementing, and managing solutions on major platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Familiarity with serverless computing platforms (AWS Lambda, Azure Functions, etc.).
• Knowledge of automation and orchestration tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
• Understanding of project management methodologies.
• Experience within a large-scale technology services environment is preferred.

Skills and Competencies

• Proficiency in cloud infrastructure technologies (VMs, storage, networking, load balancing).
• Knowledge of cloud architecture patterns (microservices, serverless, containers, hybrid cloud).
• Understanding of cloud security (IAM, encryption, compliance frameworks like GDPR/HIPAA).
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM).
• Knowledge of cloud networking concepts (VPCs, subnets, routing, VPNs).
• Proficiency in cloud storage and database options (SQL and NoSQL).
• Familiarity with DevOps principles and CI/CD practices.
• Strong client engagement and communication skills.
