ADEC Kenya Services EPZ Limited (ADEC Kenya), ADEC Innovations’ outsourcing headquarters in Africa, is seeking an Information Security Officer to join their team in Kitengela. This role involves investigating security incidents, conducting vulnerability assessments, and managing security systems within a dynamic BPO/KPO environment. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in cybersecurity and a firm understanding of information security standards like ISO 27001.
Key Responsibilities
Investigate and resolve security incidents and vulnerabilities promptly.
Conduct thorough vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
Monitor security systems and analyze network traffic for potential threats.
Manage user access controls and ensure organizational compliance.
Perform security audits and prepare comprehensive reports for management.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure systems and applications are secure.
Requirements and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in Information Security or Cybersecurity.
Experience in the BPO (Business Process Outsourcing) industry is a significant advantage.
Proven skills in vulnerability assessment, penetration testing, and security audits.
Technical experience managing security systems such as SIEM, IDS, EDR, and Antivirus tools.
Knowledge of ISO 27001 and other relevant Information Security standards preferred.
Relevant certifications such as CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker) or CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) are a plus.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
Ability to work in a dynamic environment and handle shifting schedules in a hybrid work setup.
