The Information Communication Technology Specialist (P-3) is responsible for leading the deployment and scaling of Digital Impact products globally. The role involves managing product evolution, researching and evaluating emerging technologies, and providing expert technical advice to support UNICEF’s digital transformation and improve the efficiency of business units.
Key Accountabilities
Global Deployment: Support the global deployment and scale-up of Digital Impact products.
Product Evolution: Oversee the continuous evolution and improvement of digital products.
Research and Innovation: Conduct research and evaluation of new technologies to assess their potential for organizational adoption.
Expert Consultation: Provide expert advice and support to internal stakeholders and business units.
Requirements and Qualifications
Education: An Advanced University Degree (Master's or equivalent) in Information Systems, Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Management, IT Management, Social Science, or a related field. Alternatively, a First Level University Degree (Bachelor's) in a relevant area combined with two additional years of relevant work experience may be accepted.
Work Experience: Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in Information Communication Technology (ICT), software development, product management, technology consulting, service design, or project management.
Technical Skills: Specific experience with RapidPro and ODK data collection tools. Understanding and experience with digital public goods is required.
Competencies: Strong analytical and interpersonal communication skills, with keen attention to detail. Ability to translate complex business needs into technical specifications.
Strategic Awareness: Ability to stay informed about new technologies and their capacity to support digital transformation within international development contexts.
