Job Description
Plainsview Hospital, located in Kiambu County along Thika Super Highway in Ruiru town, is seeking a qualified ICU Nurse. The successful candidate will provide critical care nursing to ICU patients through continuous monitoring, advanced clinical interventions, and life-support support, ensuring patient stability, adherence to ICU protocols, infection prevention, and optimal critical care outcomes.
Responsibilities and Duties
Provide specialized critical care nursing to patients in the Intensive Care Unit.
Conduct continuous monitoring of patient vital signs and clinical status.
Perform advanced clinical interventions and manage life-support systems.
Ensure patient stability and strict adherence to established ICU protocols.
Implement and maintain infection prevention and control measures.
Collaborate with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to achieve the best patient outcomes.
Respond effectively to emergency situations and provide life-saving care.
Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
Work flexible shifts including nights and weekends.
Qualifications and Experience
Degree or Diploma in Nursing.
Higher Diploma in Critical Care Nursing.
Registered with the Nursing Council of Kenya with a Valid Practicing License.
Minimum 3 years post-qualification experience.
Valid ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) and BLS (Basic Life Support) training certificates.
Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills.
