Cascade Institute of Hospitality is seeking a qualified and dedicated ICT Trainer/Technician to join our premier tertiary institution. This role involves delivering comprehensive ICT training to students, managing computer laboratory environments, and providing crucial technical support to ensure smooth, efficient, and secure daily IT operations.
Key Responsibilities
Instruction & Training: Deliver engaging and structured ICT training sessions to students.
Hardware & Software Support: Install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain computer hardware, software, and peripheral equipment.
Technical & User Support: Provide timely user support to resolve technical issues for both students and staff.
Lab Management: Manage and organize computer laboratories and modern learning technologies.
Network & Security: Support network administration tasks and implement measures to maintain system security.
Inventory Management: Maintain an accurate inventory of all ICT equipment and digital assets.
Digital Initiatives: Assist in the rollout and implementation of digital learning and e-learning initiatives.
Data Protection: Ensure reliable data backups and system performance consistency.
Requirements & Qualifications
Education: Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience in a teaching or technical support role.
Technical Skills: Proficient knowledge of computer networking, hardware maintenance, and Microsoft Office applications.
Certifications: Professional ICT certifications are considered an added advantage.
Soft Skills: Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
