North Coast Medical Training College is seeking a qualified ICT Officer to manage its technological infrastructure. The successful candidate will be responsible for network maintenance, technical support, and ensuring the security and efficiency of the institution's digital resources.
Core Responsibilities
Install, configure, and maintain the institution's network infrastructure including LAN, Wi-Fi, routers, switches, and firewalls.
Monitor network performance and proactively troubleshoot connectivity issues to ensure minimal downtime.
Manage ICT assets, servers, and computers; perform regular maintenance and hardware/software upgrades.
Provide timely technical support and helpdesk assistance to staff and students on hardware, software, and network systems.
Maintain accurate documentation of ICT systems, software licences, and operational procedures.
Support e-learning management systems (LMS) and school management systems (ERP).
Develop and maintain ICT disaster recovery, data backup, and business continuity plans.
Train staff and students on effective and secure use of ICT resources.
Maintain the organization's website and other digital platforms.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
3 to 5 years of relevant professional experience in an ICT role.
Demonstrated background in networking.
Hands-on experience with network hardware (Huawei, Cisco, MikroTik, or equivalent).
Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles, network security, and data protection best practices.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Professional certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA or equivalent (Added advantage).
