Role Overview
This role focuses on HR Administration (Tier 0) and HR Operations Emails and Calls (Tier 1) to support all employees, line manager queries, and ad-hoc requests outside of HR Operations. The job holder is responsible for adherence to data protection requirements and supports all HR Life Cycle processes within East African Breweries PLC (EABL), a subsidiary of Diageo.
Key Responsibilities
- Employee Lifecycle Management: Manage end-to-end employee lifecycle transactions including documentation, job changes, offboarding, contract letters, benefits, and leave administration.
- Ticket Management: Review every single ticket received and triage activities according to the Responsibility Matrix for HR Operations. Conduct regular audits of all pending tickets and ensure appropriate action and follow-up to close requests.
- Data Protection and Privacy: Ensure all requests are managed with 100% adherence to Data Protection and Privacy standards.
- Continuous Process Improvement: Identify issues within the supported market and take responsibility for process improvement activities, continuous learning, and adaptability within the HR Operations team.
- HR Administration & Data Management: Execute data changes in HRIS systems and maintain accurate electronic employee records (e-files).
- Advisory & Employee Support: Act as a subject matter expert for employees and managers regarding company policies, local labor laws, and benefits.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Education: A degree in Human Resources or an equivalent field.
- Professional Certification: Membership in professional bodies such as IHRM or CIPD is required.
- Work Experience: 3–5 years of experience in an HR Generalist, operations, or specialist role.
- Service Delivery: Previous experience in managing an HR Contact Centre or any Service Delivery role is an added advantage.
- Technical Proficiency: Experience using cloud-based HR systems, EIC, or SAP HR applications.
- Planning & Organization: Excellent skills to manage multiple tasks and complex processes.
- Soft Skills: High attention to detail, strong problem-solving abilities to troubleshoot HR queries, and the ability to build relationships with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
