This role is for an HR Business Partner focusing on the Retail Business unit at KCB Bank Kenya. The position requires a senior HR professional who can act as a strategic partner to line management, driving the HR agenda and ensuring alignment between organizational strategy and HR processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and direct a staff team of Senior HR Advisors OR work as a standalone HR professional for your assigned HR area.
- Act as the primary HR reference contact for staff and line management, proactively supporting the delivery of HR Processes.
- Spearhead and champion organization design and change in liaison with line management, developing win-win and business-aligned structural/staff changes.
- Lead, manage, and execute the performance management framework for the HR area (covering the annual performance cycle and activities, reviews, appraisal, moderation, performance improvement programs, and managing non-performance).
- In liaison with the Resourcing Department, develop and execute manpower plans, recruitment, and selection strategies.
- In liaison with the HR Learning, Development and Talent Department, identify and develop training interventions to bridge staff skill and business competency gaps. Drive and sustain the Talent Management strategy and plans (including identifying, developing, and retaining talent, and designing succession plans for key talent and critical roles).
- In liaison with the Employee Relations and Wellness Department, develop and sustain an enabling work environment for staff, and implement staff recognition, disciplinary, and grievance handling policies and procedures for the HR area.
- In liaison with the Reward and Policy Department, develop performance-oriented reward and incentive propositions for staff.
- Develops, manages, and or maintains relationships with INTERNAL/EXTERNAL customers/stakeholders/supplies relating to the HR Area: Staff, Heads of Department, Line Managers, Functional Directors, Regional Managers, and Branch Managers.
- Maintain accurate and consistent data, records, and statistics relating to the HR area.
Qualifications and Experience:
The ideal candidate should meet the following requirements:
- Hold a bachelor’s degree in human resource management or a related field; a master’s degree in the same will be an added advantage.
- Possess a recognized professional certification in Human Resource Management.
- Have at least 10 years of experience in Human Resource, with a minimum of 7 years as a HR Business Partner.
