Hospital Cleaner

Key Responsibilities

• Sanitization: Clean and sanitize various hospital areas, including patient wards, operating theatres, outpatient areas, offices, corridors, and washrooms.
• Infection Prevention: Strictly adhere to infection prevention and control (IPC) guidelines and hospital safety protocols at all times.
• Waste Management: Ensure the proper handling and disposal of both medical and non-medical waste in accordance with hospital policies.
• Surface Care: Regularly disinfect high-touch surfaces such as door handles, hospital beds, and medical equipment.
• Supply Control: Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies as needed.
• Safety Compliance: Use cleaning chemicals and specialized equipment safely and correctly, including the consistent use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Emergency Cleaning: Respond promptly to spills, with a specific focus on biohazard spill protocols.
• Privacy and Professionalism: Maintain a high level of confidentiality and respect for patient privacy.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Education: Must possess a Professional Certificate in a relevant field.
• Experience: A minimum of 1 year of cleaning experience is required. Previous experience in a hospital or healthcare setting is highly preferred.
• Knowledge: Basic knowledge of infection control practices is considered a significant advantage.
• Competencies: Strong attention to detail, excellent time management, and the ability to follow complex instructions reliably.
• Personal Attributes: High level of integrity, punctuality, and professionalism.
