Health Records Officer

Responsibilities

• Record Management: Manage and maintain accurate patient health records using both manual and electronic systems.
• Documentation: Ensure proper documentation, filing, and retrieval of medical records.
• SHA Claims: Handle Social Health Authority (SHA) claim processing, verification, and reconciliation.
• Staff Liaison: Liaise with clinical and administrative staff to ensure completeness of patient data.
• Standards Compliance: Ensure compliance with data protection and confidentiality standards.
• Reporting: Prepare periodic reports on records and SHA claims status.
• Audit Support: Assist in audits related to health records and insurance claims.
• Medical Coding: Maintain familiarity with ICD 11 (International Classification of Disease) for accurate classification.

Requirements

• Education: Diploma or Degree in Health Records and Information Management or a related field.
• Registration: MUST be registered with the relevant professional body.
• Experience: A minimum of 3 years proven experience working in a busy healthcare setting.
• Domain Knowledge: Demonstrated knowledge and experience in handling Social Health Authority (SHA) processes.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in health information systems and MS Office applications.
• Soft Skills: Strong organizational and communication skills, with a high level of integrity and confidentiality.
