Kenindia Insurance Ltd, established in 1978, is a leading provider of non-life and life insurance services in Kenya. We are seeking a Head of Motor Claims to manage and implement the company's general business claims strategy. The primary objective is to achieve our mission of providing quality insurance and financial services through a customer-centric culture and the speedy settlement of claims.
Principal Accountabilities
Claims Management: Manage claims at both individual and portfolio levels to optimize expenditure and ensure high stakeholder satisfaction through quality management and resolution of complaints.
Brand Image: Drive a positive brand image by executing a culture of professionalism, integrity, effectiveness, and a dynamic attitude.
Strategy Execution: Formulate, document, and execute claims strategies and initiatives to increase customer satisfaction and retention.
Customer Centricity: Develop and implement initiatives that ensure consistent engagement and satisfaction according to company policy.
Portfolio Monitoring: Monitor claims portfolios and ensure regular reviews in compliance with claims' controls and standards.
Liaison & Recoveries: Advise Reinsurance and Finance departments on material claims according to protocols; collaborate with Legal for effective recoveries.
Business Development: Support business growth by attending broker and client meetings to articulate the company's claims philosophy.
Trend Analysis: Analyze claims experience and trends that may impact the profit and loss account.
Authority & Compliance: Approve or recommend claims for settlement or repudiation within financial authority limits and in compliance with industry regulations.
Relationship Management: Maintain strong relationships with brokers and clients in line with strategic objectives.
Talent Management: Coach, mentor, motivate, and evaluate staff in the claims hub to achieve high performance levels.
Financial Reporting: Prepare, monitor, and report on the claims hub's budgetary allocations.
Leadership: Lead company communication related to the claims hub and benchmark best practices in management.
Performance Review: Regularly review the performance of assessors and investigators.
Qualifications and Experience
University degree in any business-related field.
ACII (Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute) qualification.
AIIK (Associate of the Insurance Institute of Kenya) qualification.
At least 7 years of relevant professional experience.
