GrowthAfrica is seeking a high-calibre Head of Finance, Legal Affairs & Administration to join the Senior Leadership Team. This pivotal role involves leading the financial strategy, planning, and forecasting across all country operations, ensuring the organization's financial health and regulatory compliance. You will oversee financial operations, grant management, legal affairs, and administrative systems to support the organization's mission of supporting African entrepreneurs.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Strategy & Planning: Lead financial strategy, planning, and forecasting across all country operations.
Operational Oversight: Oversee financial operations including reporting, compliance, audits, and cash flow management.
Grant Management: Manage grant financial cycles and donor reporting.
Financial Modeling: Design financial models and costing for funding proposals.
Legal & Compliance: Oversee legal affairs, contracts, and regulatory compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
System Strengthening: Strengthen organisational systems for budgeting, procurement, and cost allocation.
Decision Support: Support leadership decision-making through financial insights and analysis.
Strategic Contribution: Contribute to organisational strategy as part of the Senior Leadership Team.
Requirements
Experience: 10+ years of progressive experience in finance, legal, or operations, with at least 3–5 years in a senior leadership role.
Education: BA/BSc/HND in a relevant field; Professional qualification (CPA(K), ACCA, CFA, MBA, or equivalent).
Sector Knowledge: Experience in multi-country, donor-funded, or development environments is an advantage.
Skills: Strong analytical, leadership, and decision-making capabilities; expertise in financial strategy and planning.
