Role Overview
The Hardware Support Specialist at KCB Bank Kenya is responsible for providing technical expertise and support for end-user hardware and related peripherals. The role focuses on ensuring the operational efficiency of the bank's hardware infrastructure through effective maintenance, deployment, and troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities and Technical Focus
Support and maintain end-user hardware and related peripheral systems.
Manage mass deployment and support solutions, including cloning, SCCM, and patch management.
Administer and troubleshoot Windows and Unix operating systems.
Manage network services, protocols, and internetworking technology.
Administer Active Directory Domain Services.
Support messaging, collaboration, and database management systems as required.
Requirements and Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in IT or related sciences.
Certifications: Professional certification in MCSE and CompTIA A+ is required. Certification in Project Management is an added advantage.
Work Experience: At least 2 years of work experience in the same or a related role.
Technical Experience:
2 years of experience/knowledge of end-user hardware and peripherals.
2 years of experience with Windows and Unix operating systems.
1 year of experience in mass deployment solutions (cloning, SCCM, patch management).
1 year of experience in Network Services, protocols, and Internetworking Technology.
1 year of experience in Active Directory Domain Services.
1 year of experience in Messaging, Collaboration, and Database management systems (desired).
