The Gym Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily gym operations, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for members and guests, and leading the gym team to deliver excellent service and fitness experiences. This role involves maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety while providing professional guidance to gym users.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise daily gym operations and manage staff schedules.
Ensure cleanliness, safety, and proper maintenance of all gym equipment.
Monitor member usage and enforce gym rules and safety guidelines to maintain a professional environment.
Provide basic fitness guidance and assist members with equipment usage when needed.
Handle guest inquiries, feedback, and minor complaints in a professional and timely manner.
Conduct regular equipment checks and report any faults or maintenance needs to the relevant department.
Support the onboarding and training of new gym attendants and instructors.
Ensure strict compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards.
Maintain accurate records, including attendance logs, incident reports, and equipment maintenance logs.
Requirements
Certificate or diploma in Fitness, Sports Science, or a related field.
Valid First Aid and CPR certification (mandatory or considered a strong advantage).
Previous experience working in a gym or fitness center, preferably in a supervisory role.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Knowledge of gym equipment maintenance and safety protocols.
