Ol Kalou Dairy (2016) LTD is a leading milk collection dairy in Nyandarua County. We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented milk grader to join our team. As a milk grader, you will be responsible for evaluating and ensuring the quality of the milk received from farmers. Your role will be critical in maintaining the highest product standards to ensure our cooperative provides safe, fresh, and high-quality dairy products.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
Milk Grading and Recording: Responsible for the daily grading, weighing, and accurate recording of farmers' milk.
Communication: Act as a primary communication agent between the farmers and Ol Kalou Dairy.
Equipment Care: Ensure the proper handling and maintenance of all grading and collection equipment provided by the dairy.
Logistics Control: Manage vehicle control during milk collection and supervise milk transporters or loaders along the assigned route.
Quality Assurance: Ensure the safety of collected milk and remain responsible for both the quantity and quality of milk delivered to the plant.
Farmer Training: Participate in milk mobilization efforts and conduct training for farmers on techniques for producing high-quality milk.
Input Delivery: Deliver farm inputs requested by farmers during the collection process.
Public Relations: Portray a positive image of the company to farmers and all other stakeholders.
Qualifications, Experience, and Knowledge
Education: Diploma or Certificate in Dairy Technology, Dairy Management, or a related field. A Bachelor's Degree will be an added advantage.
Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of experience in dairy production, milk grading, or quality control.
Knowledge: Familiarity with dairy industry standards and regulations.
