Mount Kenya University (MKU) is seeking a dedicated and qualified Full-time German Language Trainer to be based at our Thika campus. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, preparing, and teaching German language units, developing learning materials, and assessing student progress in alignment with the curriculum.
Key Responsibilities
Instruction & Lesson Planning: Plan, prepare, and teach assigned German language units in accordance with the course curriculum and outline.
Material Development: Develop and adapt learning materials, and timely prepare and submit professional records to monitor student progress, achievement, and attendance.
Individual Learning Plans: Plan, develop, and deliver appropriate learning plans for individual students.
Student Assessment: Assess students' work, monitor their achievements, and examine/mark Trainees’ Assessment Tests (C.A.Ts) and end-of-term assessments. Timely upload marks to the Management Information System (MIS).
Curriculum Development: Contribute to the development, planning, and implementation of a high-quality curriculum, adapting delivery patterns to meet student needs.
Practical Instruction: Carry out practical instructions for trainees and supervise students during assessments.
Departmental Engagement: Participate in departmental meetings and perform other duties assigned by the supervisor.
