Reporting to the Team Leader - Indirect Sales, the GA Trade Development Representative will be responsible for direct and indirect sales acquisition, revenue generation, development, and management of relationships for SME customers. The primary goal is to ensure growth, profitability, and retention within the assigned region for our client, Safaricom. The position holder will collaborate with relevant stakeholders to execute segment-led sales strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Revenue: Meet overall revenue and acquisition targets by identifying, developing, and closing opportunities centered on Enterprise solutions.
Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong business relationships and partnerships with customers within allocated territories.
Market Awareness: Drive education and awareness of Enterprise solutions among potential and existing customers.
Pipeline Management: Maintain a healthy sales pipeline to ensure the achievement of set revenue targets.
Market Intelligence: Monitor Gross Adds targets within the region, profiling all businesses in the territory and maintaining an up-to-date database of competitor intelligence.
Territory Planning: Develop and implement route plans that cover the assigned territory effectively.
Reporting: Timely submission of territory reports and maintaining 100% accuracy in reporting market intelligence and customer feedback.
Customer Experience: Proactively attend to customer-related issues to ensure excellent service ratings.
Qualifications and Experience
An Honors Degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Bachelor of Commerce, or a related field from a recognized university.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in selling enterprise solutions, either directly or through partners.
Prior experience in managing indirect channels within a telecoms environment is highly desirable.
Strong business acumen and a team-player mentality.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a resilient, outgoing personality.
Proactive and energetic with the ability to work under pressure.
A valid Certificate of Good Conduct.
Ability to speak the local language of the assigned area of operation.
