The group has interests across the Eastern and Southern Africa region, with operations in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, South Sudan, Mozambique and Malawi.\n\n### Job Purpose\nWork within Betalab under the Partnership and Digital department to identify requirements, design and develop solutions (database design, workflows, user/data interfaces, integrations) and offer technical support for Betalab solutions.\n\n### Key Responsibilities\n* Develop responsive, interactive, and accessible user interfaces using React.js.\n* Collaborate with designers, backend engineers, and product managers to implement new features.\n* Optimize applications for maximum speed, performance, and scalability.\n* Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices.\n* Integrate with backend APIs (REST/GraphQL) and manage application state effectively (Redux, Context API, or other state management libraries).\n* Ensure cross-browser compatibility and mobile responsiveness.\n* Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and agile ceremonies.\n* Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve frontend issues in a timely manner.\n* Stay up to date with the latest frontend technologies and industry trends.\n\n### Knowledge, Experience, and Qualifications Required\n* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.\n* Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), React.js, and frontend development.\n* Experience with HTML5, CSS3, and modern CSS frameworks (Tailwind, Material UI, Bootstrap, etc.).\n* Familiarity with state management (Redux, Zustand, Recoil, Context API, etc.).\n* Experience integrating with REST APIs and GraphQL.\n* Understanding of version control systems (Git/GitHub/GitLab).\n* Knowledge of frontend build tools and bundlers (Webpack, Vite, Babel, etc.).
