The Aga Khan Academy Nairobi is operated by Aga Khan Education Service Kenya (AKESK), a non-profit organization with over a century of experience in providing quality education in Kenya. We are looking for a qualified and dedicated French & ICT Teacher to join our team.
Role Overview
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and delivering high-quality lessons that align with the school’s vision and mission. You will work collaboratively with other educators to develop curriculum plans and ensure that all students acquire the knowledge and skills necessary for academic and career success.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and deliver high-quality French and ICT lessons in line with the school’s mission.
Collaboratively develop unit and lesson plans for the curriculum.
Ensure students acquire excellent knowledge and skills to achieve their targets and prepare for the next stage of their careers.
Produce administrative documentation including Unit plans, Records of Work, Course outlines, and class analyses.
Differentiate lessons to meet the diverse needs of all learners.
Engage learners in diverse activities such as storytelling, role plays, and recognition exercises.
Display learners’ work within the classroom to celebrate their progress and projects.
Plan regular excursions to expose students to different environments.
Observe student behavior and provide guidance to build self-confidence and social values.
Support learners with specific learning differences and behavioral challenges.
Manage and update progress records and generate reports for parents.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor of Education in French with a minimum of B- in O-levels.
Must be registered with the Teachers Service Commission (TSC).
At least 2 years of teaching experience.
Conversant with the new Competency Based Education (CBC) framework.
Additional French language certifications/courses will be an added advantage.
Working knowledge of MS Office computer applications.
