The French and Music Teacher at Nairobi Waldorf School is responsible for planning, preparing, and delivering high-quality French and Music lessons in line with the school curriculum and Waldorf pedagogical principles.
Responsibilities
Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality French and Music lessons in line with the School curriculum and Waldorf pedagogical principles.
Participate in the planning, review and continuous improvement of the French and Music curricula.
Prepare learners for concerts, performances, festivals, assemblies and other School events.
Develop age-appropriate lesson plans, learning activities and teaching resources.
Develop, organise and maintain suitable teaching materials and resources.
Record learner participation, development and achievement in both French and Music. Prepare assessment summaries and learner reports within agreed timelines.
Engage in continuous professional development, particularly in Waldorf Education, language teaching and music education.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Education or another relevant teaching qualification from a recognised institution.
Valid Teachers Service Commission registration.
At least three years of relevant teaching experience.
Demonstrated ability to teach both French and Music.
Ability to teach instruments such as piano, violin, recorder, cello or other string instruments.
