About the Role
The Food Safety & Hygiene Specialist (Sales-Driven) is an entry-level position open to fresh graduates or candidates with up to 2 years of experience. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise in food safety and hygiene with a strong, sales-driven commercial mindset. In this role, you will conduct audits, train clients, and actively identify and pursue commercial opportunities to upsell and cross-sell hygiene solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Training & Product Application
- Application Training: Educate customer staff on correct chemical applications and accurate solution dilution/constitution methods.
- Safety & PPE Guidance: Conduct mandatory training on chemical safety, hazard awareness, and the correct utilization of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Competency Verification: Assess and log trainee knowledge to ensure practical compliance on the shop floor.
Audit Execution & Reporting
- Schedule Adherence: Execute site audits strictly according to established schedules, ensuring zero missed dates or timing windows.
- Unbiased Auditing: Record factual field observations honestly, objectively, and backed by evidence, resisting any external bias.
- Report Management: Generate and distribute comprehensive audit reports within tight timelines (e.g., 24–48 hours post-visit).
- CAPA Follow-up: Track, follow up on, and formally close out all identified major and minor corrective actions with the client.
Sales Activities & Account Value Growth
- Pipeline Generation: Actively pitch and introduce new Hychem Hygiene and Healthcare Solutions Ltd. product lines, specialized cleaning tools, or dispensing equipment to existing clients based on audit needs.
- Competitor Infiltration Defense: Audit stock rooms to ensure 100% exclusivity; instantly challenge competitive product presence and pitch the equivalent Hychem solution to win back account share.
- Target Achievement: Meet or exceed designated field sales targets through account retention, consumption monitoring, and organic upselling.
Compliance & Documentation
- Audit Readiness: Audit customer documentation to ensure current Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and Technical Data Sheets (TDS) are printed, filed, and easily accessible for internal or external auditors.
- Regulatory Enforcement: Enforce local and international food safety standards and cleaning hygiene compliance without compromise.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Sales Growth & Exclusivity: Percentage increase in account revenue.
- Audit Schedule Compliance: 100% adherence to planned audit dates and timelines.
- Reporting Turnaround: Audit reports delivered to stakeholders within the agreed-upon 24–48 hour window.
- On-Site Documentation: 100% of assigned client sites maintaining accessible, up-to-date SDS/TDS binders.
