Established 12 years ago, PrideInn Hotels, Resorts & Camp is a prominent hospitality brand with a strong presence in Kenya. We are looking for a Food and Beverage Supervisor (MICE) to join our team in Mombasa.
Role Overview
The Food and Beverage Supervisor for MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) is responsible for maintaining high levels of visibility and supervisory involvement across all food and beverage outlets. You will ensure that team members are well-trained to provide professional service and a warm welcome while maintaining rigorous standards and resolving operational issues promptly.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain a prominent level of visibility and supervisory involvement in food and beverage outlets.
Ensure all team members are trained to carry out effective, professional service and deliver a warm welcome.
Ensure high service standards are set and consistently observed.
Handle inquiries, complaints, and any operational problems, ensuring timely resolution and communication with senior management.
Assist the Food and Beverage Manager with overseeing rosters and ensuring cost-effective measures.
Manage the Restaurant Reservation Book and attend weekly function meetings.
Foster a sales culture by actively encouraging upselling among team members.
Ensure cleanliness levels are maintained to a high standard in all F&B areas.
Keep up to date with competitors and local business trends.
Liaise with other departments to ensure the effective and smooth running of events.
Assist in promotional and marketing activities as required.
Adhere to Health & Safety procedures and other company policies.
Requirements and Qualifications
Education: BA/BSc/HND in Hospitality Management or a related field.
Experience: A minimum of 2 years of hotel food & beverage experience at a supervisory level.
Leadership: Excellent leadership and delegation skills are required.
Communication: Must be a self-starter with strong communication skills.
Flexibility: Available to work early and late shifts both midweek and weekends.
