Role Overview
The Field Officer – Career Coach will support the operational and technical implementation of all Result 2 activities and deliverables for Fondazione L’Albero della Vita (FADV). Based in Kisumu, the successful candidate will focus on executing project activities related to vocational training, recruitment, and labor market insertion for women, ensuring all project goals are met with high quality and adherence to MEAL frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
Supports the proper execution of all Result 2 activities.
Manages the recruitment of 400+ women (including 5% PWD) for new curricula trainings.
Supports the piloting and implementation of the NITA teaching curricula for Domestic Workers and corporate support services within target vocational institutions.
Monitors progress on beneficiary training, job insertion, digitalization, and awareness activities.
Facilitates trainee access to project services such as digitalization courses, internship opportunities, and social start-up digital services.
Monitors and reports on the conduction of training sessions.
Supports the development and utilization of MEAL (Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning) tools and frameworks.
Assists the HQ Office with needs assessments for project proposals and meetings with local government officials.
Requirements and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Development Studies, Education, Social Sciences, or related fields.
Minimum 2 years of experience in development cooperation projects funded by institutional donors (AICS project experience is a strong asset).
Prior experience with vocational training (TVET/NITA), labor market insertion, or skills development programs.
Proven expertise in Project Cycle Management (PCM).
Solid knowledge of MEAL elements, including indicators, data collection systems, and means of verification.
Excellent command of the Microsoft Office Suite.
Proficiency in English and Kiswahili.
Knowledge of disability inclusion and gender-responsive programming.
Skills in mentoring, counseling, or coaching activities.
