Mogo Finance is seeking a Field Collection Officer to manage debt recovery and asset repossession, specifically for motorbike (Boda Boda) financing. The role involves physical interaction with clients to ensure payment compliance and the recovery of assets where telephone follow-ups and demand letters have been ineffective. You will work in a fast-paced environment, often collaborating with law enforcement and government agencies to safeguard company assets.
Key Responsibilities
Field Visits & Compliance: Visiting clients with overdue cases, persuading them to make payments, and ensuring strict payment compliance.
Asset Repossession: Executing the repossession of offline Bodas from clients who have failed to comply with the contractual payment schedule.
Professional Debt Recovery: Handling all debt recovery and asset repossession activities in a professional and ethical manner.
Stakeholder Liaison: Working closely with police officers and different government agencies regarding Mogo-financed assets to ensure their safe custody.
Legal & Regulatory Awareness: Staying updated on new measures and laws regarding motorbikes and their impact on daily operations.
Investigation & Reporting: Preparing detailed investigation reports on missing bikes and providing recommendations to internal credit analysts on risk analysis and approvals.
Incident Management: Compiling reports about incidents and recommending strategies to avoid them in the future.
Innovation: Proposing and implementing better ways of tracking and monitoring company assets.
Strategy Development: Preparing weekly and monthly recovery reports and implementing recovery strategies.
Requirements and Qualifications
Education: Minimum Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE). Note: BA/BSc/HND is an added advantage.
Licensing: A valid A2 Driving License is a MANDATORY requirement.
Experience: Previous experience in debt recovery is considered an added advantage.
Languages: Fluent in both English and Swahili.
Skills: Excellent negotiation and analytical skills.
Attitude: Customer-oriented, self-motivated, and capable of taking initiative to solve complex problems.
Resilience: Ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment.
