Human Capital Outsourcing Limited is seeking a dedicated Farm Hand to assist in daily poultry farming operations in Thika. The successful candidate will be responsible for feeding, bird health monitoring, hygiene maintenance, biosecurity adherence, and supporting general farm operations.
Key Responsibilities
Feed poultry according to established schedules.
Provide clean drinking water to birds.
Clean poultry houses and equipment regularly.
Collect and dispose of poultry waste appropriately.
Monitor bird health and report any abnormalities immediately.
Support vaccination and medication programs.
Maintain overall farm cleanliness and hygiene.
Strictly observe biosecurity procedures at all times.
Assist in receiving and transferring birds.
Monitor feed and water consumption levels.
Record daily farm activities accurately.
Handle birds humanely during all operations.
Report equipment faults promptly to management.
Support inventory management of farm supplies.
Assist during farm maintenance activities.
Perform any other duties assigned by management.
Skills & Requirements
Minimum KCSE Certificate.
Certificate in Agriculture is an added advantage.
Poultry farm experience preferred.
Animal handling skills and basic record keeping.
Good physical fitness and willingness to do shift work.
High integrity, teamwork, and communication skills.
Knowledge of poultry husbandry, animal welfare, biosecurity compliance, and safety awareness.
