Amara Capital Limited is seeking an Experienced Fragrances Retail Sales Executive for a full-time, on-site role based in Nairobi County, Kenya. In this position, the team member will engage customers on the shop floor, present and demonstrate different fragrances, and provide personalized recommendations that match customer preferences and budgets.
Role Overview
Daily tasks include managing product displays, ensuring stock is adequately replenished, maintaining a clean and appealing sales area, and processing sales transactions accurately. The role also involves building lasting customer relationships, meeting and exceeding sales targets, tracking customer feedback, and collaborating with management on promotions and visual merchandising. The executive will work closely with the wider team to share product knowledge, participate in training, and support overall store performance.
Key Responsibilities
Engage customers on the shop floor, present and demonstrate different fragrances, and provide personalized recommendations matching customer preferences and budgets.
Manage product displays, ensure stock is adequately replenished, and maintain a clean and appealing sales area.
Process sales transactions accurately using point-of-sale (POS) systems.
Build lasting customer relationships while consistently meeting and exceeding sales targets.
Track customer feedback and collaborate with management on promotions and visual merchandising.
Collaborate with the team to share product knowledge, participate in ongoing training, and support store performance.
Qualifications and Requirements
Proven retail sales experience, ideally in fragrances, cosmetics, or luxury goods, with a strong track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
Strong customer service and communication skills, including the ability to engage diverse customers, listen actively, and provide clear product guidance.
Solid product knowledge capabilities with the willingness to learn fragrance families, notes, and brands.
Basic numeracy and POS skills for handling cash, card transactions, and accurate sales recording.
Attention to detail and good organizational skills to manage displays and stock levels to brand standards.
Ability to work on-site in Nairobi County, Kenya, including weekends and retail peak hours.
Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently.
Certificate or diploma in business, marketing, retail management, or a related field is an added advantage.
