Unity Homes is seeking an Estate Maintenance Technician to join our team in Eldoret. The role is focused on maintaining the overall upkeep, safety, and functionality of the estate's facilities through routine, emergency, and preventive maintenance. The ideal candidate will address maintenance requests, conduct repairs across various trades, and ensure a high standard of living for our residents.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out routine and emergency maintenance repairs.
Perform plumbing repairs and maintenance.
Conduct electrical installation, repair, and troubleshooting tasks.
Undertake carpentry and general building maintenance work.
Respond promptly to tenant maintenance requests and complaints.
Inspect estate facilities and identify maintenance needs.
Implement preventive maintenance programs to reduce equipment and facility breakdowns.
Ensure all maintenance work complies with safety regulations and quality standards.
Maintain tools, equipment, and maintenance records.
Report major maintenance issues and recommend corrective actions.
Support the overall upkeep and appearance of the estate.
Qualifications and Requirements
Diploma in a construction-related field, property management, or a related discipline.
Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and carpentry works.
Experience in property, facility, or estate maintenance is an added advantage.
Understanding of occupational health and safety practices.
