Job Description
The Nairobi West Hospital Ltd is seeking a dedicated ER Nurse to join our team. The ER Nurse will be responsible for providing critical care in a fast-paced emergency environment, ensuring patients receive immediate and effective medical attention.
Responsibilities
Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department.
Assess and triage patients based on the severity of their condition.
Administer medications and perform emergency medical procedures.
Coordinate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless patient care.
Demonstrate strong clinical and decision-making skills in high-pressure situations.
Maintain accurate and timely medical records and documentation.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) or Kenya Registered Community Health Nursing (KRCHN).
Higher National Diploma in Kenya Registered Accident & Emergency Nursing.
Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in emergency or acute care nursing.
Valid Nursing License from the relevant regulatory body.
Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS (or must obtain within 6 months of hire).
Skills and Competencies
Strong clinical and decision-making skills in high-pressure environments.
Excellent leadership and team coordination abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
