The Enterprise Development Officer (Grade 6) at the Micro and Small Enterprise Authority (MSEA) is responsible for the implementation of policies and programs aimed at promoting the growth of micro and small enterprises (MSEs). The role involves providing advisory services, coordinating regional activities, and ensuring effective project implementation within the Isiolo region.
Duties and Responsibilities
Implementing policies, projects, and programmes in relation to Micro and Small Enterprises.
Drafting proposals for funding to support enterprise growth.
Implementing MSE-specific programmes and projects.
Counseling MSEs on various enterprise-related matters to enhance their capacity.
Liaising with stakeholders to ensure seamless program implementation.
Compiling training and exhibition reports to track progress and impact.
Assisting in coordinating regional events and programmes.
Preparing periodic and quarterly reports for management.
Collating project implementation reports and programmes relating to or affecting MSEs.
Person Specifications
For appointment to this position, a candidate must have:
A Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines: Entrepreneurship, Business Management, Administration, Strategic Management, Agri-Business, Marketing, Economics, Commerce, Enterprise Development, Human Resource Management/Development, Art and Design, or any other social science from a recognized institution.
Proficiency in computer applications.
Demonstrated merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.
