Job Description
Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking an EMEA Area Lead to provide strategic direction and leadership to clinical management personnel within the region. This role is pivotal in ensuring the world-class execution of clinical trials, focusing on quality deliverables and meeting client expectations through effective cross-functional collaboration.
Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership: Provide overarching strategic direction to clinical management staff within the EMEA geographic area.
Clinical Trial Execution: Oversee the timely and high-quality execution of clinical trials to ensure all deliverables meet company and client standards.
Functional Coordination: Liaise with various functional departments to streamline project delivery and ensure client satisfaction.
Team Mentorship: Supervise clinical management functions and mentor staff in their daily activities and clinical deliverable responsibilities.
Resource Allocation: Manage resource levels within clinical management and participate actively in the allocation of staff to projects.
Performance Management: Conduct performance appraisals, evaluate staff progress, and manage bonuses and merit increases.
Training Compliance: Ensure all personnel are adequately trained and mentored in alignment with company policies and SOPs.
Business Development: Support the clinical portion of project proposals and participate in presentations to prospective clients.
Financial Management: Oversee the overall budgeting activities for assigned groups, including both annual and long-range financial forecasting.
Requirements and Experience
Professional Experience: 10 to 15+ years of relevant experience in clinical management or a related field.
Management Experience: At least 5 to 10+ years of experience in a management or leadership capacity.
Education: A BA/BSc/HND degree is required.
Alternative Qualifications: A combination of appropriate education, training, and directly related experience may be considered in lieu of specific degree requirements.
