The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering driver training, conducting assessments, coaching drivers, and ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Reports: Submit 100% of training, coaching, and assessment reports monthly.
Materials: Maintain updated training materials quarterly to include regulatory, customer, and operational changes.
Training: Deliver induction, DDT (Defensive Driving Training), and refresher training achieving at least 95% annual attendance.
Assessments: Complete 100% of driver assessments (new recruits, internal reassessments, post-accident) within 48 hours of request.
Telematics: Conduct monthly MiX telematics coaching for all flagged drivers achieving minimum 20% violation reduction annually.
Safety: Participate in 100% accident/incident investigations within 24 hours.
Records: Maintain 100% accuracy in training records, matrices, and compliance documentation.
Engagement: Conduct a minimum of 12 toolbox talks annually with at least 85% driver attendance.
Hazards: Record and submit at least 5 hazards/near misses monthly and follow up on corrective actions.
Compliance: Ensure 100% compliance in the issuance, tracking, and sign-in/out of keys, GPS devices, phones, and diesel cards.
Induction: Conduct site-specific induction and customer SOP orientation for 100% of new drivers within 24 hours of reporting.
On-Road Coaching: Complete 100% of on-road coaching for high-risk drivers identified through MiX within 5 working days.
Other Duties: Perform any other duties assigned to you.
Requirements & Qualifications
Education: BA/BSc/HND qualification.
Experience:
Minimum of three (3) years' experience in conducting driver training courses.
Minimum of six (6) years' driving experience in heavy haulage.
Prior experience in Logistics & Warehouse operations is required.
Skills & Competencies:
Ability to follow work procedures and Safety Rules.
Ability to read, understand, and follow directions and instructions.
Ability to communicate fluently from middle management downward.
Ability to uphold the company image at all times.
Proper communications and presentation skills.
