Role Overview
The Unclaimed Financial Assets Authority (UFAA) is an Authority created under the Unclaimed Financial Assets Act, No. 40 of 2011 to administer unclaimed financial assets. This is the entry and training grade for the Driver cadre. An officer at this level will work under the supervision of a senior officer to ensure the safe movement of personnel and assets.
Responsibilities
Ensuring the safe transportation of Authority personnel and/or goods from source to destination as per instructions.
Detecting and reporting malfunctions of the vehicle's systems.
Keeping a precise record of the vehicle’s movement through the 'Work Ticket'.
Monitoring and reporting the vehicle's service and insurance schedule.
Ensuring the cleanliness of the vehicle.
Reporting incidents and accidents immediately according to Authority policy.
Ensuring strict adherence to and observation of traffic laws.
Requirements and Qualifications
Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) mean grade D (plain) or equivalent qualification.
Valid driving license free from any current endorsements and valid for relevant vehicle classes/plants.
Passed Occupational Trade Test for Drivers Grade III from Kenya Institute of Highway and Building Technology (KIHBT) or Ministry of Roads and Public Works.
First-Aid Refresher Certificate Course (at least 1 week) from St. John Ambulance, KIHBT, or other recognized institutions.
Passed Suitability Test for Drivers Grade III from KIHBT or Ministry of Roads and Public Works.
Valid Certificate of Good Conduct from the Kenya Police Service.
