Job Description
The Driver is responsible for transporting authorized persons for official duties while ensuring the safety of passengers, the vehicle, and other road users. This role requires managing vehicle integrity, strict adherence to traffic regulations, and supporting operational efficiency through safe driving and effective vehicle maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
Transportation: Drive assigned vehicles to transport staff, guests, and authorized persons safely and efficiently.
Safety & Compliance: Manage passenger safety, vehicle integrity, and ensure strict adherence to traffic rules at all times.
Maintenance: Initiate daily safety and maintenance checks, analyze vehicle performance, and report malfunctions promptly.
Upkeep: Implement cleanliness and upkeep standards to maintain a professional vehicle environment.
Operations: Support operational efficiency by executing purchases and deliveries as instructed.
Cost Efficiency: Reduce maintenance costs through safe and careful driving practices.
Documentation: Maintain current vehicle documentation, including insurance display, while observing traffic regulations.
Incident Management: Resolve incidents by immediately reporting accidents or near-misses to supervisors and following required procedures.
Other Duties: Perform additional duties assigned by management, contributing to continuous improvement and organizational growth.
Requirements
Education: Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
Licensing: Valid Kenyan driving license Class ‘BCE’ with PSV endorsement.
Legal: A valid Certificate of Good Conduct from the Kenya police.
Experience: At least five (5) years of professional car driving experience.
Added Advantage: First aid training.
