Job Description
Agro-Chemical and Food Company Limited (ACFC) is seeking to recruit qualified individuals for the position of Driver (2 posts). The officer will be responsible for the safe operation of company vehicles and ensuring they are maintained in good working condition.
Responsibilities
Drive a vehicle as authorized for official company business.
Carry out routine checks on the vehicle's cooling system, oil, electrical and brake systems, tire pressure, etc.
Detect and report any malfunctioning of the vehicle system.
Maintain accurate work tickets for vehicles assigned.
Ensure the security and safety of the vehicle both on and off the road.
Oversee the safety of the passengers and/or goods being transported.
Maintain the cleanliness of the vehicle at all times.
Requirements
KCSE mean grade D plain or an equivalent qualification.
A valid driving license free from any current endorsements and valid for the classes of vehicles the officer is required to drive.
At least six (6) years of professional driving experience.
Must have passed the Suitability Test for Drivers Grade I from the Ministry of Roads and Public Works.
A First-Aid Certificate Course lasting not less than one (1) week from a recognized institution.
General computer knowledge.
A valid Certificate of Good Conduct from the Kenya Police.
Must fulfill the requirements of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution of Kenya.
